⚠️ OAuth2 Grants - The following exercise requires a Workiva integration user with an OAuth2 Grant. Please proceed if you have a valid Client ID and Client Secret.

With the required credentials to access Workiva, please follow these steps:

Step 1: Add a Connection

To add a new Connection, or view an existing OneCloud Connection, click the Connections tab on the navigation pane on the left of the page.

  • Click on the (+) button in the lower, right-hand corner.

  • Under BizApp, select Workiva for this demonstration.

  • Rename the Connection "Workiva (DEV)".

  • Enter the Client ID.

  • Enter the Client Secret.

  • Scroll down to confirm the Environment for "DEV" is enabled.

  • Click the corresponding box(es), as necessary.

  • Save the Connection.

📓 Users may opt to enable as many available Environments as desired. This security feature prevents Connections from being accessible in different Environments, which in turn limits Commands that can be executed from said Environment.

Step 2: Create a Connection for Production

📓 This second step may or may not be applicable to your Environment. It is being performed to simulate connection mapping in a future tutorial, which is a feature with OneCloud's Lifecycle Management (LCM). If you only have a single Workiva Environment, then simply use the same Client ID and Client Secret.

  • Repeat the steps above, but call the connection "Workiva (PROD)"

  • Enable only the "PROD" Environment.
