OneCloud has the ability to enable Connections for certain Environments. This feature allows certain Connections to be available for only certain Environments and disabled in others.

This tutorial works with the "File Utils" Connection and the "Anaplan Opportunities to Salesforce" Chain.

Step 1: Enable Connection for the Appropriate Environment

  • Select "Connections" from the left-side panel option.

  • Click the 🔽 to the right of the "File Utils" Connection.

  • Choose "Edit".

  • Scroll down to view the enabled "Environments".

    • If needed, click the box(es) of the desired Environment(s) to activate.

⚠️ Enable Connections by Environment

If a Connection is not enabled for a particular Environment, then a warning message may appear.

Step 2: Select the Chain to Promote

  • Determine the Chain that should be promoted.

    • In this example it's "Anaplan Opportunities to Salesforce".

  • Click the ellipse icon on the right side of the selected chain, and choose Promote.

  • This prompts the Promotion Wizard.

Step 3: Promotion Wizard

In the Promotion Wizard, users must select an Environment to promote, choose the connections for the Chains in said Environment, and Review the changes.

  • In the first window, select the Environment.

    • Set the "Environment to Promote to" as "PROD" and click "Next".

  • In the second window, map the Connections.

    • Select the appropriate Connection based upon the target Environment.

    • Here, each Connection matches its namesake & the Runners are CloudRunners.

    • Click "Next".

  • In the third window, review the promotion settings.

    • Click "Promote" to establish the new settings

📓 Note: Only if Workspace resources (files) have been leveraged will a step prior to the review will be shown in the workflow to include these in the promotion.

Step 4: Publish & Run in the New Environment

  • With the newly promoted Chain open, publish and run the Chain.
